The best beauty foods and recipes to have beautiful (sublime!) Skin

These tips to help you beat age naturally may seem counterintuitive from a plastic surgeon, but Dr. Andrew Ordon – who was co-host of the famous American show The Doctors – is speaking out against the knife mentality at all costs! In his book, Better in 7: The Ultimate 7-Day Guide to a Better You, Dr. Ordon favors a more natural and less invasive approach to skincare.

We loved her do-it-yourself beauty recipes for treating dark circles under the eyes or for shiny hair and velvety skin. Better yet: you can prepare them with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

Homemade moisturizer with avocado and honey

The moisturizer is a must in the anti-aging panoply. By helping your skin to retain moisture and temporarily filling in fine lines, this beauty recipe makes your skin appear smoother. Dr. Ordon says his patients love this recipe because it leaves their skin looking fresh and youthful. And that it contains avocado!

Ingredients: 45 ml (3 tbsp.) Crème fraîche, ¼ avocado and 15 ml (1 tbsp) honey.

Preparation: Put all the ingredients in a blender and reduce to a cream. Apply to the skin and leave on for at least an hour. Rinse off with warm water.

Anti-wrinkle salad

This energetic fruit salad is packed with antioxidants, which protect the skin from the ravages of the sun and stimulate blood circulation for essential nutrients to reach the skin. Enjoy this beauty recipe for breakfast to start the day in style and reduce your wrinkles.

Ingredients: 125 ml (1/2 cup) of fresh blueberries, 125 ml (1/2 cup) of fresh strawberries, 1 kiwi, peeled and chopped, 125 ml (1/2 cup) of pomegranate seeds, 125 ml (1 / 2 cup) orange juice, and a handful of chopped walnuts.

Preparation: Mix the first four ingredients in a bowl. Pour in the orange juice and sprinkle with walnuts.

The best beauty recipe for acne treatment

When you have a nasty pimple on your face that needs to go away, try this tip beauty expert Kym Douglas gave Dr. Ordon. The yeast fights bacteria and the lemon helps dry out the pimple.

Ingredients: brewer’s yeast, a dash of lemon juice.

Preparation: make a dough with the yeast, lemon juice, and a little water. Apply to the pimple and leave to act for 10 minutes. Cover with a bandage.

Homemade tonic with basil

One of the best beauty recipes if you are acne-prone. Basil acts as an antiseptic, helps flush out acne-causing bacteria, and stimulates blood circulation to the skin.

Ingredients: 45 ml (3 tbsp.) Dried basil leaves, 250 ml (1 cup) boiling water.

Preparation: Crush the dried basil leaves and put them in boiling water. Once the mixture has cooled, remove the leaves and pour the liquid into a spray bottle: it will be used to spray the face. Gently spread this lotion with a cotton swab. Repeat every day before removing your makeup.

Homemade lemon-agave lotion against age spots

Your hands betray your age, but this exfoliant might help. Exfoliating your hands can remove the top layer of dead skin cells, which contain some of the pigments found in age spots. The rice exfoliates, the agave hydrates and the lemon helps the skin regain its radiance and remove dead skin.

Ingredients: 125 ml (1/2 cup) of cooked rice, 15 ml (1 tbsp.) Of agave syrup, 15 ml (1 tbsp.) Of lemon juice.

Preparation: mix all the ingredients well. Apply the mixture to the backs of dry hands in circular motions and exerting firm yet gentle pressure for one or two minutes. You can rub this exfoliant on your palms to soften the calluses.

Homemade facial scrub with almonds and sugar

Among the best beauty recipes for a radiant complexion, this exfoliant with almonds and sugar. Regularly exfoliating your face helps remove dead skin that dulls your complexion and restores your skin to its softness and radiance.

Ingredients: 45 ml (3 tablespoons) of crème fraîche, 250 ml (1 cup) of white sugar, 125 ml (1/2 cup) of brown sugar, 125 ml (1/2 cup) of ground almonds, 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Olive oil.

Preparation: mix all the ingredients well. Apply the lotion to the face in circles. Then wash your face with hot water, then with cold water. Pat the face dry. Place the jar of exfoliant in the fridge until next use.
